Define the work and its boundaries
Prepare two examples: a call-out with an uncertain fault and an installation quoted from drawings. Explain how extra parts are approved, tests recorded and the completed system handed back. Allow for travel and urgent purchasing in your operating plan.
Check the framework for the planned construction work with IMPIC. List any gas or electrical intervention separately so its own requirements can be assessed. The word plumbing does not automatically cover those specialisms. Gather equipment references and a process for reporting damage found on site, including what the customer must decide before further work proceeds.
